The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, will be crowned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
A media aide to the Olubadan, Adeola Oloko, who confirmed the development, added that the nomination of the King-designate has already been approved by the State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
Platforms Africa reports that Ladoja who was born in 1944 will be crowned through 44th Olubadan during a ceremony billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.

The state delegation already met with Ladoja and other members of the Olubadan-In-Council at his Bodija private residence on Wednesday.

“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025,” Oloko said.
“The ceremony is billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan, the state capital.
It will be recalled that Ladoja had, on Tuesday, met with the kingmakers at his residence.
