RCCG Pastor Arraigned For Allegedly Raping, Impregnating Daughter

A Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Emmanuel Orekoya, was on Tuesday arraigned before the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court for allegedly raping and impregnating his 17- year-old daughter. The defendant is facing two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and sexual assault preferred against him by the Lagos State Government. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention said no fewer than 2,122 suspected cases, 411 confirmed cases, and 72 deaths have been recorded from Lassa fever in Nigeria this year as of February 11, 2024.
