Ogunfuyi was the second Nigerian veteran energy journalist to have died in the last 67 days.   The Publisher, Oil and gas Monitor magazine, Mr. Rasaq Ogunfuyi, is dead, Platforms Africa reports. Ugo Amadi, Vice chairman of National Association of Energy Correspondents (NARC), a group which Ogunfuyi was a member, confirmed this in a terse message on Thursday. Some politicians joined as some youths on Wednesday converged in Lagos, Ota and Ibadan to stage a peaceful protest over the death of a 27-year-old singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
