‘$100,000 Each, OON Honours,’ Tinubu Rains Gifts On Nigeria’s D’Tigress

President Bola Tinubu has conferred national honours on all members of the D’Tigress for winning the 2025 Women’s Afrobasket in Cote d’Ivoire. The president also pledged $100,000 to each of the players and an additional $50,000 to members of the technical crew. Vice President Kashim Shettima, who represented Tinubu at the event, announced the rewards while receiving D’Tigress at the presidential villa on Monday. 287 Poets Jostle for NLNG’s $100,000 Literature Prize

The 2022 edition The Nigeria Prize for Literature, sponsored by Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) will have 287 poets compete for the $100,000 Prize. Platforms Africa reports that at a ceremony in Lagos on Thursday, the entries received were handed over to the panel of judges by the Chair of the Prize’s Advisory Board, Professor Akachi Adimora-Ezeigbo. The Advisory Board also handed over 87 entries for the NLNG’s Prize for Literary Criticism.
