Ogun students shut down Benin-Ore highway

Students protesting the lingering strike action of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, on Monday, have reportedly blocked the Sagamu-Benin-Ore highway. The students on a joint protest are from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye; Tai Solarin University of Education, and the Federal University Of Agriculture, Abeokuta, all in Ogun State. They bore on their banner, “Stop Toying with Our Education,” as they marched on the road in protest.   Another gas explosion has rocked Abeokuta, Southwest Nigeria, injuring two people. The explosion, which rocked the capital of Ogun state on Friday, May 21,  Platforms Africa reports, is the third suffered by the city in four consecutive days.
