How Nigeria Ogoni will be paid N45.9bn Oil spill compensation – Shell

Oil major, Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria (SPDCN) has agreed to a special tenplate to be adopted  for the payment of the sum of N45.9 billion compensation to some Ogoni communities of Rivers state ravaged by oil spills some years ago. Platforms Africa reports that the monetary compensation, which was ordered by a Federal High Court in Lagos about ten years ago, is to be paid to the affected communities through their lawyer, Lucius Nwosu (SAN).
