Barely six months after it suspended its 10 month-old strike, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has threatened to embark on a fresh industrial action if the 13 months’ salaries of over 1,000 of its members across the country were not paid. The Nigerian minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, has said the country would consider other options if the Academic Staff Union of Universities remains adamant on its strike action.
