Comrade Alhassan Yahaya from Gombe State has emerged as the new President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists. (NUJ). He clinched the position on Wednesday night during the 8th Triennial National Delegates Conference in Owerri, the Imo State capital. Alhassan, who was the immediate past National Deputy President of the union, defeated his closest rival, incumbent Treasurer, Dele Atunbi after delegates’ votes were counted.
