The Nigerian electricity transmission system also known as the National grid collapsed on Wednesday plunging the whole of Lagos, commercial capital, and major cities across the country into darkness. Though the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) was silent on the incident, Power utilìty companies in Lagos, Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) and Ikeja Electric, confirmed the collapse in separate tweets.
