Carbonated Drinks Price Hike Imminent as Minister Announces Jan. 2022 Tax Takeoff

The Nigerian Minister of Finance Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, has insisted that government would not rescind its position on imposing exercise duties on carbonated drinks. Platforms Africa reports that this means an imminent surge in the prices of these products including some global soft drinks bottled carbonated in Nigeria for preservation.
