The administration of United States President Donald Trump is reportedly considering the closure of nearly 30 American embassies and consulates around the world, with several facilities in Africa potentially affected. According to a CNN report citing an internal document from the U.S. State Department on Wednesday, embassies in the Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Lesotho, and South Sudan are among those recommended for shutdown. Nigerian Govt. Files Application for Abba Kyari’s Extradition to U.S

Nigerian Government has filed an application for the commencement of extradition process of suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari at the Federal High Court (FHC), Abuja. The Federal Government, through the Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), filed the application on Wednesday marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/249/2022. It was filed under the Extradition Act, as part of Nigeria government’s approval of the request by the United States (U.S.) for Kyari’s extradition.
