The former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State Professor Onje Gye-Wado has been released by his abductors after N4m ransom was paid. Gye-Wado was abducted last Thursday at his country home, Rinza, near Wamba, the headquarters of the Wamba local government area. It was gathered that a ransom of N70m was demanded by the abductors but Gye-Wado’s family negotiated from N2m to N3.5m before eventually settling for N4m. Gunmen Kidnap Nasarawa Ex-deputy Governor, Gye-Wado

A former Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, Professor Onje Gye-Wado, has been kidnapped by gunmen who allegedly invaded his community, Gwagi, in the Wamba Local Government Area of the state in the early hours of Friday.
