Torrential rainfall to persist in Lagos, Ogun intermittently till Friday, September 16 – Metrological Agency Nine yet-to-be-identified ladies who were trapped when a storey building around Akinwunmi Street, Mende, in the Maryland area of Lagos State, sunk due to torrential rainfall, were rescued on Monday. 10 Buildings Razed As Petrol-Laden Tanker Explodes In Ogun

No fewer than ten buildings were razed on Saturday after a tanker laden with 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit, well known as petrol, exploded in Olambe-Matogun Road in Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State. The explosion was said to have occurred after the tanker driver conveying the petrol to a filling station in the area lost control of the vehicle due to the bad road.
