The Imo State High Courts sitting in Mgbidi, Oguta, and Omumma divisions will not sit on Thursday following the killing of a popular lawyer in the state, Barrister Chinedu Nwowu. The lawyer, according to The Sun, was reportedly ambushed and shot dead by gunmen on Wednesday evening in Mgbidi, his hometown. Gov Elections: Police To Deploy Drones, Others In Kogi, Imo, Bayelsa

The police have said they will deploy adequate personnel, including plain clothes officers, for the governorship elections in Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa states slated for November 11.
