The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 1.951, 811 candidates who sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) while withholding 39,834 results. 2025 UTME: Over 1.5m candidates score less than 200 – JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that more than 1.5 million candidates scored below 200 in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). JAMB disclosed that 1,955,069 candidates sat for the UTME, which commenced on April 24, 2025. The examination body, in a statement on Monday, May 5, said 420,415 candidates scored above 200 in the 2025 UTME. A 94-year-old man has registered for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). The nonagenarian, identified as Adedapo Idowu, featured on the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s latest bulletin publication. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced a remittance of over N6bn to the coffers of the Nigerian government in 2024. According to the board’s weekly bulletin released on Monday by its Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin, JAMB generated a total income of N22,996,653,265.25 in 2024, out of which N6,034,605,510.69 was remitted to the government.
