Four Cough Syrups Manufactured In India Killed 66 Children in Gambia- WHO

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has said four cough syrups that were manufactured in India are responsible for 66 child deaths in The Gambia. This was disclosed in a medical product alert issued on Wednesday by the organisation. According to the organisation, the four syrups “contain unacceptable amounts of diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol as contaminants”.
