Niger Republic Reopens Border With Nigeria

Niger Republic has reopened its border with Nigeria in the regions of Diffa, Tahoua, Maradi and Dosso. The land border between the two neighbors was closed following the coup d’état of July 26 and the ECOWAS sanctions that followed. In a radio message broadcast on social networks, on Thursday, the Nigerien Ministry of Interior instructed the governors of these border regions to reauthorize the reopening at exactly 12:00 midnight.     A gang of hackers, OPERA1ER, stole at least $11m from companies in Nigeria, Benin, Cameroon, 11 other African countries, and Argentina. Nigeria, Others Need $15.7bn to Upgrade Existing Refineries – Refiners Group

The African Refiners and Distributors Association (ARDA) has said Nigeria and other African countries would need at least $15.7 billion to upgrade existing refineries in their bid to reduce sulphur content. Speaking at the second Refining and Specifications Virtual Workshop organised by the ARDA, the association noted that the upgrade was necessary to ensure that Africa embraces cleaner sources of fuels.
