Nigerian Varsities Remain Shut Till May As ASUU Extends Strike For 8 Weeks

The government-owned universities in Nigeria are to remain under lock and key till May as their lecturers’ union has extended its strike by eight more weeks. After a month warning strike,the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), elongated its ongoing strike by two months as the Nigerian Government allegedly failed to satisfactorily address all the issues raised in the 2020 FGN/ASUU Memorandum of Action within the four-week warning strike.
