Nigeria’s oil industry rig count has increased by 400 per cent in the last four years, resulting in the noticeable improvement in the country’s crude oil production output. The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) which made this known, in Abuja, said the country’s active rig count surged by 400 per cent to reach 40, marking a substantial rise from the low of eight rigs recorded in 2021.
