ASUU strike: Minister, NUC, VCs, Pro-Chancellors Meet Sept 6

In a bid to halt the indefinite strike declared by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the National Universities Commission (NUC) has scheduled a meeting among the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, Pro-Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors of federal universities for September 6. The meeting will hold at the commission’s headquarters, Abuja. Nigeria Okays January 18 for Varsities’ Re-Opening

  The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given Nigerian universities the go-ahead to re-open for academic activities on January  18, 2021. This comes a few weeks after the Commission ordered all tertiary institutions to remain shut indefinitely, in response to the second wave of COVID-19.
