Platforms Africa reports that the Anikilaya ruling house produced the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, who joined his ancestors last month. The Adeyemi ruling house of Anikilaya dynasty, yesterday, raised the alarm over what it described as the ‘deliberate distortion’ of history by removing the name of the Adeyemis from the family lineage. The Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona, was conspicuously absent at the Ojude Oba festival on Sunday in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.
