In its last unemployment report, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said that the unemployment rate in Nigeria increased from 27.1 percent in the second quarter of 2020 to 33.3 percent in the fourth quarter. The statistics bureau in its report said the number of active working population in December 2020, representing those within the age bracket of 15-64 years, was 122.05 million Nigerians.
