The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) has dismissed reports that Peter Nwachukwu, husband of the late gospel singer, Osinachi, and a suspected kidnap kingpin, Hamisu Bala (a.k.a. Wadume), escaped from custody during Friday’s jailbreak at Kuje Custodial Centre, Abuja. The Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, NCoS, Chukwuedo Humphrey, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) Tuesday in Abuja that the two inmates were still in custody. Gospel Singer, Osinachi, Laid To Rest In Abia

The remains of late gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, were laid to rest in Amakpoke Umuaku community, Abia State, on Saturday. Osinachi, who was popularly known for her song “Ekwueme”, died on April 8, 2022 aged 48. She was said to have suffered from an internal injury in her chest following alleged maltreatment by her husband.
