Emmanuel Osodeke, president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), says the main reason lecturers decided to resume teaching is because of a court order asking them to do so. ASUU had been on strike since February 14 to press home the demand for improved funding for universities, and a review of salaries for lecturers, among other issues.
