Gunmen have beheaded a former Anambra State lawmaker, Nelson Achukwu. It was gathered that the headless body of the lawmaker was discovered by his relatives two weeks after his abduction. The deceased, popularly known as Ogbatuluenyi, was reportedly kidnapped from his home in Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government Area on June 9, 2022. The incident occurred less than one month after the lawmaker representing Aguata Constituency 2 in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Okechukwu Okoye, was beheaded by abductors in May 2022.
