UK Scraps Over 100 Skilled Jobs, Sets Nigerians Abroad Jittery

Thousands of Nigerians in the United Kingdom holding Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or Skilled Worker visas are gripped by panic over sweeping new immigration rules unveiled by the British government. In a bid to curb immigration, the UK has delisted over 100 job roles—including several skilled positions—from CoS eligibility. Additionally, the salary thresholds for remaining roles have been raised by at least 30 per cent.
