In what appeared an affront on Yoruba mythology, armed men have kidnapped another traditional ruler, Oba Benjamin Oso, the Eleda of Eda Ile, in Ekiti East Local Government Area, southwest Nigeria. Ttaditional rulers, believed, according to African mythology, to be second to God in command and invincibility, are revered and feared as untouchable. Oba Oso is, however, the third traditional ruler to be attacked in similar circumstances in less than three months.
