Millions of Social media users were locked out as services of Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram were, on Monday, October 3, 2021, hit by an outage lasting several hours. Platforms Africa reports that all the three services are owned by Facebook and could not be accessed over the web or smartphone apps.
