A Nigerian naval officer, AK Bala, has regained freedom after killing kidnappers who abducted him over two weeks ago.
According to a story shared online, former Army spokesman, SK Usman, who reportedly confirmed this, added that the abducted officer was able to overpower one of the kidnappers, disarmed him and used the rifle to kill all them before running away from the bush to safety.
He did not give further details of where the abduction took place while there is yet an official statement from the Nigerian Navy on this development.
The kidnappers were said to have earlier demanded a ransom of N20 million befire they could set the Officer free.
They rejected a plea to beat the price tag placed on him to N5 million before they met their Waterloo.
