Lagos Govt. Shuts Redeemer school Indefinitely over 5yrs-old Boy’s Death

The Lagos State Ministry of Education has shut the Redeemers Nursery and Primary School, Ogba over the death of five-year Old pupil. According to Mrs Folasade Adefisayo, Commissioner for Education,the school will remain closed, pending an administrative investigation of its operations and procedures as well as the conduct of its officials – in line with schools’ safety standards and guidelines. 14 Nigeria, Other Migrants Die as Boat Catches Fire in Senegal

No fewer than 14 migrants, including Nigerians have been reported dead following a fire incident that razed a boat in south Senegal. Reports from the West African country also state that 21 people are injured as four of them suffered second degree burns as they embarked on a journey to Spanish Canary Islands before the boat caught fire.
