She Died After Protracted Fight with Cancer, Nigerians Mourn Kemi Nelson

Irreplaceable Loss, Lagos Ex-Deputy Gov, Adebule, Condoles Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, GAC Over Nelson’s Death

The death of Kemi Nelson, top ally of Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, came after a protracted battle with cancer.

This, Platforms Africa reports, came from as her dearh continued to elicit reactions from Nigerians, including the former deputy governor of Lagos, Dr. Idiat Oluranti Adebule, who extolled the virtues of the party’s late women leader.

Adebule who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) Lagos West Senatorial District Candidate, also described the death of former APC Southwest Zonal Women Leader, Chief Kemi Nelson, as shocking and sad.

Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson’s death, she said according to a statement, “is a great loss to our party, the APC.”

According to her, Yeye Sewa’s death came at a time the party needs her most in galvanising support through the mobilisation of women across the country.

“We’ll miss her contributions to the growth and development of our great party. She was a dedicated politician and a remarkable woman. She advocated and encouraged women participation in politics with great passion,” Adebule said.

The former Lagos State deputy governor commiserated with the Nelson family.

She also condoled with the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Governor of Lagos and his deputy, Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) on this irreplaceable loss.

Corroborating Adebule’s death, veteran journalist, Joke Kujenya, said that Nelson was a amiable Christian child of GOD with no airs of arrogance.

“Ma’am Kemi Nelson, 66, dies after protracted battle with cancer. She was really a very pleasant and amiable Christian child of GOD with no airs of arrogance,” Kujenya who is close to Nelson, wrote on her Facebook page.
