ASUU strike: Minister, NUC, VCs, Pro-Chancellors Meet Sept 6

In a bid to halt the indefinite strike declared by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the National Universities Commission (NUC) has scheduled a meeting among the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, Pro-Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors of federal universities for September 6. The meeting will hold at the commission’s headquarters, Abuja. Police Arrest 2 Vigilantes For Raping Housewife In Bauchi

The operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested two vigilantes for raping a housewife in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state.   The state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, made this known via a statement issued on Wednesday.
