First to Step down for Tinubu as APC presidential aspirant: The stunts pulled by the Self-Acclaimed uncommon politician, which earned him the 10th National Assembly’s topmost seat

 

A candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Senate presidency, Godswill Akpabio, has been elected as President of the Senate.

The former Governor of Akwa Ibom served as a Minister for Niger Delta Affairs from 2019 to 2022, represents Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial zone

Platforms Africa reports that the two-term governor of Akwa Ibom state was the firstpresidential  aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) to Step down for Bola Tinubu who, at the Eagle Square venue of the primary, eventually emerged the candidate of the party.

He also delivered his state to the party during the general election, earning him the slot as the favoured candidadte for Senate president by the APC.

Tagging himself as an uncommon politician, Akpabio’s loyalists believed that he played uncommon politics that now earned him the 10th National Assembly’s topmost seat.
