Six Nigerian pilgrims participating in the 2023 Hajj have died in the course of the exercise, an official of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has disclosed. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and tertiary education stakeholders have approved “the National Minimum Tolerable UTME Score (NTMUS),” otherwise known as the cut-off mark for 2023 admission into the nation’s universities. The benchmarks of 140 for universities and 100 for polytechnics and colleges of education were arrived at during the 2023 annual policy meeting on admissions into tertiary institutions, which was held in Abuja on Saturday.
