The picture of traditional rites for the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, has surfaced on the internet eliciting mixed reactions.
Platforms Africa reports that the picture showed two men said to be the chief priests of Ogbomoso land performing some rites on the new monarch.
Oba Olaoye was a popular Pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) before he was said to have been chosen by Ifa (Oracle) as the new king of the ancient town.

While some queried how the pictures of traditional rites on the monarch got to the internet, others made comments on the rites being performed on the top cleric.
“The former RCCG Pastor lobbied to be the Soun of Ogbomoso, he was not unaware this will happen,” Gbemi Iyand, wrote on Facebook.
“He has done nothing wrong by allowing tradition to take its due course,” Sade Omotoso wrote in a contrary view on Facebook.
In a lengthy reaction, a popular commentator on Facebook, Tayo Ikotun, wrote; “I remember when one pastor who tragically lost his wife and later remarried was being questioned by journalists on why his new wife gave birth to their first child just 6 months after they got wed and this child ,rather than being lodged in an incubator was carrying on jejeli like his colleagues that did the normal 9 months in mama’s belly.
Our friend was short of words. He couldn’t come up with any logical lies to dispel the rumor that there had been ‘collaborations’ between him and his new bride before they were joined together as husband and wife. Meanwhile, his deceased wife, until she breathed her last never stopped preaching against knacking before marriage!!
