Earlier, the prosecution counsel, Olanrewaju Osho, told the court that the patrol team attached to the Nyanaya Police station, Abuja, while patrolling around black spots in Nyanya, arrested the convicts.

During police investigation, he said, the defendants could not give satisfactory explanation on what they were doing at the black spot.

Osho said during police investigation, the convicts confessed to the crime.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 199 of the Penal Code.
