Saudi Arabia has informed the US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, that it is “ending all negotiations” on normalising relations with Israel, reports the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post. The former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olumide Akpata, says he was diagnosed with stage-three cancer about 10 years ago and had multiple surgeries. Akpata, however, said he was declared cancer-free in the past five years. Operatives attached to the Edo State Police Command have arrested one Felix Iloghevbo for defiling his seven-year-old daughter. The suspect committed the offence on September 19, 2023, in the Idokpa community, Uhunmwode Local Government Area of the state. The state Police Public Relations Officer, Chidi Nwabuzor, in a statement, said  operatives of the Egba Divisional Headquarters arrested the suspect while acting on credible information. Oil prices have jumped on concerns that the situation in Israel and Gaza could disrupt output from the Middle East. Brent crude was up $2.28, or 2.7%, to $86.86 a barrel by 0859 GMT, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude was at $85.23 a barrel, up $2.44 or nearly 3%. FRSC: 3,730 Nigerians Die In Road Crashes In 9 Months

No fewer than 3,730 Nigerians have lost their lives in various road accidents across the country between January and September 2023. The figure, however, is a 23.1 per cent reduction from the 4,848 fatalities recorded in the same period in the year 2022.
