. New University to enrol first set of students + LIST of Approved courses
The Vice Chancellor of Kogi State University Kabba, Professor KIT Eniola, on Wednesday visited the Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi at his palace in Kabba, the University’s Community.
Platforms Africa reports that the vice chancellor, who was accompanied by members of the university management, assured the royal father of the commitment of his team towards actualizing the dream of Kogi State Governor HE Yahaya Adoza Bello.
Speaking during the visit, the Vice Chancellor of the Obaro of Kabba of the University’s preparedness in enrolling it’s first set of students following the approval by the National Universities Commission of twenty-five academic programmes across three faculties.
The Vice Chancellor commended the Obaro for his resolute support for the establishment of the university and ensuring that the school had a smooth start.
In his remarks, Obaro Dele Owoniyi expressed profound appreciation to the Kogi State Government , the Vice Chancellor, and His Management team .

The monarch described the University as a dream come true and a fulfilment of the yearnings of the good people of Okunland, home, and diaspora.
The Obaro also used the occasion to thank Governor Yahaya Bello led administration for timely release of take off grants to the University testified to the fact that the University and host communities is beginning to experience massive influx human traffic and unprecedented infrastructure development .
The Obaro of Kabba, who is also the Chairman of Okun Traditional Council of Chiefs, guaranteed to galvanised the increased support of Okun Sons and Daughters to provide moral, financial materials support and the much needed human resources required to make the University one of the best Citadel of Learning, Sub Sahara Africa.
