Iranian President Killed in Helicopter Crash

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian have been confirmed dead in fatal helicopter crash.

Platforms Africa reports that the Iranian state TV, which confirmed this, declared that there is ‘no sign of life’ at the crash site of the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

This comes as rescue teams scurrying for the aircraft spotted it from a distance, as per an official who spoke with Iranian state media.

The presidential chopper in which the president and others were traveling had been declared missing and was being searched for on Sunday May 19, 2024.

The death of one of strong world leaders was coming amidst resolve by Iran to put Israel under check in a development that has reshaped the power dominance and monopoly of management of crisis in the Middle-East region of Palestine.

The Iran’s President Raisi said in 2021 that he wouldn’t meet with President Joe Biden nor negotiate over Tehran’s ballistic missile program and its support of regional militias, sticking to a hard-line position following his landslide victory in year’s election.
