FCE,T Akoka Governing Council Appoints Isaac Miller Acting Provost

The newly appointed Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Technical (FCE,T), Akoka, Lagos has announced the appointment of Dr Isaac Oluwatin Miller as the Provost of the College.

Consequently, the notice signed by Mr Rasheed Dada, the Registrar of the College on behalf of the Governing Council instructed Dr. Wahab Azeez to step aside.

Recall that the former Provost of the College, Dr Wahab Azeez has been facing a running battle with a section of the staff unions of the College since May 27th, 2024.

The crisis that had lingered for over 10 months climaxed on Monday as aggrieved staff and students insisted Azeez would not be allowed into office.

The protest later snowballed into a heated agitation resulting in a violent attack and vandalisation of several official vehicles and others belonging to members of staff.
