The former Deputy Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Harford Oseke, has slumped and died. According to reports, Oseke had just finished his regular exercise routine at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, the state capital when he suddenly collapsed. Efforts to revive him proved abortive and he was pronounced dead shortly after the incident. His body has since been deposited at the Apex Medical Centre in Awka. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reported a significant increase in remittance inflows, reaching $553 million in July 2024, a 130 percent increase from the corresponding period in 2023. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has declared a net profit of N3.297 trillion at the close of the financial year which ended in December 2023.
