The National Judicial Council (NJC) on Friday in Abuja recommended the compulsory retirement of the Chief Judge of Taraba State High Court, Justice Philibus F. Andetur, with immediate effect. This is contained in a statement issued by Mr Soji Oye, NJC’s Director of Information on Friday. The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, who presided over the NJC meeting, also directed Andetur to hand over to the next most senior Judge in the State. Three people were killed late Friday in an accident involving the advance party of Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, on the road to Jikamshi, Musawa Local Government Area (LGA) of the state. Malam Al-Amin Isa, the Director-General to the governor on New Media, who confirmed this to newsmen in Katsina, said two of the victims were policemen while the third was a civilian aide.
