Saudi authorities on Tuesday declared that Ramadan fasting would begin on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
This, according to official website of the authorities of the two Holy Mosques, Haramain Sharifain, was due to inabllity to sight the new moon on Tuesday.
“The Crescent for the month of #Ramadan1444 was NOT SIGHTED in Saudi Arabia today,” the authorities wrote.

“Subsequently, Thursday 23rd March 2023 will be the first day of Ramadan 1444,” it concluded.
