A High Court sitting in Ilaro, Ogun State, Southwest Nigeria, has sentenced one Bakare Akeem to death by hanging for killing his friend, Basiru Basit over a piece of meat valued at Fifty Naira only. US Hikes Visa Fees By 15%

The United States has announced a hike in fees for certain non immigrant visa applications (NIV). In a statement on Wednesday, the US department of state said the hike in the affected NIV fees was implemented after a review of the country’s costs of providing these services. The hike also affects the border crossing card (BCC) for Mexican citizens aged 15 and over. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) says the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS), also called petrol, should be between N360 and N400 a litre, after the removal of subsidy.
