All Eyes Now On Her: Amusan Zooms Into World Athletics Final

Amusan’s rivals for the title Kendra Harrison and Jasmine Camacho-Quinn also won their heats, qualified for final of the event slated for Thursday.

 

Nigeria’s sprint hurdler Tobi Amusan survived a poor start to win her heat and earn a berth in the final of the women’s 100m hurdles at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Amusan won Heat 2 with a time of 12.56s.

Ackera Nuggent of Jamaica took second position with a time of 12.60s while Canada’s Naddine Visser was third with a time of 12.62s.

Amusan’s rivals for the title Kendra Harrison and Jasmine Camacho-Quinn also won their heats.

Former world record holder Harrison won the first semi-final race in 12.33s.

Another contender Camacho-Quinn took Heat 3 in 12.41s.

The final of the event will take place on Thursday.
