Platforms Africa reports that the Dawah front late member was said to have practised Islam and served himanity meritoriously with his computer networking and IT knowledge until he breathed his last.
Here, below, is the emotional tribute written by Nofiu.
A life short but meaningful
Our paths crossed at Lisabi Grammar School, although two years my junior.
Our membership of the same group in the school, the MSSN, brought us closer.
Our unscheduled and chanced meetings at the residence of Late Muhammed Oke afforded us the opportunities of the exchange of after-school life ideas.
In the early 2000s when browsing was a luxury I barely could afford despite my growing interest in internet surfing, he facilitated several night browsing sessions for me at the cybercafe he was overseeing then.
In 2008 when he needed my email address to help apply for an opportunity he believed I was qualified to take even without informing me, he opened an email ID for me, which has become my main email identity today despite now using several other ones I later opened myself. He only called me after the application to inform me of it, and the new email address he opened for me. I never changed even a single alphabet from the ID till date, and only changed the password he opened it with many years later.

His knowledge of computer hardwares and networking gave him opportunities his qualification (WASC) then would never have given him, and he leveraged that to pursue higher degrees of Bachelor in Computer Science at LASU and Masters in Information Technology at UNILAG.
He was the Head of IT at Safetrust Mortgage Bank Limited, IT Manager at Meyer Paints Limited and till this afternoon, Manager, IT Operations at Bridge Nigeria.
He transferred that knowledge and experience in computer networking and IT to serve meritoriously in the Dawah Front of Nigeria, especially at the different editions of Daurah and Mukhayam dated back to many years, as well as at weekly online programmes and meetings.
He was nicknamed ‘Small boy’, a nickname that still stuck with him even after becoming a ‘big boy’.
All that ended this afternoon after a brief illness!
We have nothing to say other than our statement when bereaved: To Allah we belong and to him we shall return.
May Allah forgive the shortcomings of Nurudeen Salaudeen, and give his loved ones the fortitude to bear this huge loss.
