TASUED ASUU Chairman, Dr Kazeem Rufai, Is Dead

How Varsity’s top staff died at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where he was receiving medical care after a road accident

 

 

The Chairman, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) Council, Dr Kazeem Rufai, is dead.

Platforms Africa reports that the Registrar of the University, Dapo Oke, who announced Rufai’s death in a statement on Wednesday, maintained that the University’s top staff died in the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where he was receiving medical care after a road accident.

With a heavy heart and total submission to the will of the Almighty Allah, the University Management hereby announce the passing away of the Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, (ASUU), TASUED Branch, Dr Kazeem Rufai.

The late ASUU Chairman died on the evening of Wednesday, 15th, March, 2023 in the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, where he was receiving medical care after a road accident.

He would be laid to rest on Thursday, 16th March 2023, according to Islamic rites.

Consequently, an extended management meeting would hold on Thursday 16th March 2023 at the Council Chamber by 8.00 am.
