Zulum’s Spokesman, Isa Gusau, Is Dead

Borno State Governor Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum has lost his Special Assistant on Media and Strategy Isa Gusau.

The Borno State Government announced Gusau’s death in a statement on Friday.

“We regret to announce that Mallam Isa Gusau died in the early hours of Thursday in a hospital outside the country after battling with heart problem,” the government said.

“Gusau was one of the aides first appointed by Governor Zulum after being sworn in on 29 May 2019.

“He had served in the same capacity when Governor Kashim @officialSKSM was the Governor of Borno for eight years. May his soul rest in peace. Ameen.”

Gusau’s career as a media aide kicked off with his appointment by the then Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima, who is now the Vice to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He was a reporter with the Daily Trust Newspapers in Borno before his appointment with the Borno State Government.
