The Governing Body of the University of Kigali (UoK) has appointed Professor Ogechi Adeola, a Professor of Marketing, as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor – Academic (DVCA), effective January 11, 2024. Professor Ogechi Adeola holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Alliance Manchester Business School, United Kingdom. Cape Verde Becomes Third African Country To Eliminate Malaria

Cape Verde has become the third African nation to be declared malaria free, even as the disease continues to kill hundreds of thousands of people on the continent, the World Health Organization said Friday. The Atlantic archipelago of about 500,000 inhabitants follows Mauritius in 1973 and Algeria in 2019. Bello of the Kaduna State High Court in Northwest Nigeria has convicted and sentenced one Idris Musa, to ten years imprisonment for fraudulently swapping 48 Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards from different bank customers.  Musa was arrested and arraigned before the court on one count bordering on cheating by the operatives of the Kaduna Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
