Hearing in the no-case submission proposed by Abayomi Omotubora, counsel for the Bus Rapid Transit driver, Andrew Ominnikoron, charged with rape and murder of a 22-year-old fashion designer, Oluwabamisaye Ayanwole, was stalled on Thursday. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday joined the battle to halt further depreciation of the naira against the dollar. It launched a crackdown on dollar speculators, hoarders, racketeers and firms issuing invoices in foreign currency.
